Last Tuesday,Jackie Burke, an Irish author, came to the school. She has written ‘The Secrets Of Grindlewood’. She spoke to Ms. Quinlan’s 5th class, Ms. Jenkinson’s 4th class and Ms. Clifford’s 4th class. We were all given a signed bookmark and people who asked good questions were given signed posters. She spoke about how she got the inspiration for her book, told us what it’s like to be an author and answered all of our questions. She also read out excerpts from her books and we guessed what might happen next. I’d love to read her book!
