Ms O’ Malley/Ms Tobin’s class Room 5 and Ms O’ Halloran’s class,  Room 9 thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the exhibition in the Toradh Gallery of Ashbourne library last week. They were met by Ann Kavanagh from the historical society who guided them through the history of Ashbourne dating back hundreds of years. The children were very impressed when they learned a castle once stood on their playground. They learned all about how Ashbourne came to be a village thanks to Frederick Bourne. We would like to thank Ann once again for imparting all her knowledge on the local area. Ms O’ Beirne’s class, Room 10 will be going next week.
