Thanks to Declan Cassidy and Alan Tobin from Ashbourne Fire Station who visited our three third classes on Monday the 24th of March to present a fire safety programme to the children. The children learnt about the dangers of fire, smoke alarms, how to use a simple home safety check and the importance of having a family escape plan in advance of a fire.  The firemen spoke to the children of the importance of stopping, dropping to the floor and rolling.
