Term 3 in Room 25!
We had a lovely Easter break and came back to school excited to see what’s in store for our last term in Rang a 4! We have lots of exciting things to look forward to this term- swimming lessons, planting, book week, active schools week aswell as our school tour in June!
We are delighted to have a new teacher here with us in Room 25. Mr. Smyth will be with us for the month of April and he has been teaching us lots of fun and interesting things!
An Aimsir
We’ve been learning all about weather as gaeilge. We’ve learned lots of new vocabulary and phrases. We had great fun creating our very own “weather forecast” in class!
Experimenting with clay
We’ve had lots of fun making clay pots last week. We looked at some different items made from clay such as pots, vases and bowls. We used the pinching technique to make our own pinch pots. We’re looking forward to painting them later on this week!
Grandparents Day
Today was Grandparents day in school. We were delighted to have three very special visitors to our classroom. We had three grandparents in with us, including Lila’s Grandad Philip and Luke Monaghan’s Granny Bernie. We had a lovely chat with them and got to ask them lots of questions. We asked them all about their childhood memories and we talked about houses, families, school life, games, sports, chores and holidays. We realized life was very different for them growing up. We learned so many interesting things and really enjoyed our visit. Thanks again to our three super Grandparents!
